KIA Tigers Choi Hyung-woo set a new record for the most doubles in the Korean Series.

In Game 2 of the Korean Series against the Samsung Lions at Kia Champions Field in Gwangju on the 23rd, Choi Hyung-woo hit a double to the right-center against Song Eun-beom in the bottom of the fifth inning with one out and no runners.

In terms of the position of the ball, it could have been a single hit. However, Choi Hyung-woo headed to second base as soon as he stepped on first base, and Samsung center fielder Kim Ji-chan also rushed to throw. The result is safe. Choi Hyung-woo took third base with Na Sung-bum's right-handed hit, followed by a tag-up during Kim Sun-bin's sacrifice fly to right field and gave the team its seventh run.

With a double on the day, Choi Hyung-woo succeeded in breaking the record of the most doubles (11), which he had side by side with Jeon Joon-ho (Heroes).

Choi Hyung-woo, who is also the record for the most doubles (513) in his career in the KBO League, made his 8th appearance in the Korean Series. Choi Hyung-woo, who first played in the Korean Series in 2010 when he was in Samsung, started the record with two doubles. From 2011 to 2014, he showed an outstanding batting sense as a central hitter for Samsung, contributing to his team's victory. Even after changing to KIA in 2017, he continued his move as a 'winning contractor' by wearing the Korean Series championship ring. He even set a meaningful record in the Korean Series, which he met again at KIA for the first time in seven years.
