On the 8th, the Korean Swimming Federation announced a list of 12 invited athletes (7 men and 5 women) to participate in the second round of the 2024 AQUA Management World Cup under the approval of the World Aquatics (AQUA).
French star Leon Marchamps, who won four gold medals in all four events, including men's 200m individual medley, 400m breaststroke, and 200m butterfly at the Paris Olympics last summer, will come to Incheon. Marxiang will compete in a total of seven events, including the 100m freestyle, 200m freestyle, 100m breaststroke, 200m individual medley and 100m, 200m and 400m individual medley.

Among the female invited athletes, Kate Douglas of the U.S. will compete in eight events. Zhang Yufei of China, a six-time winner of the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games, is also coming. He will compete in the freestyle 50m, backstroke 50m, butterfly 50m and 100m, and individual medley 100m, and Siobhan Hehe, currently a member of the AQUA Athletes' Committee and Hong Kong's first Olympic medalist in management, will also compete in the freestyle 50m, 100m, 200m and breaststroke 50m.

In the case of the host country, athletes other than national teams are allowed to participate, so a total of 300 people, including 200 professional athletes, including Kim Young-beom (Gangwon Sports High School), who holds the Korean record for men's 100m butterfly, and 40 amateur athletes, will have the opportunity to participate in international competitions.
Chung Chang-hoon, president of the Korea Swimming Federation, said, `As the World Cup is held in Korea for the first time in 19 years after a long wait, we will do our best to ensure that all participating athletes visiting Incheon from all over the world will compete fairly and happily in Korea and have good memories," he said.
