As the Los Angeles Dodgers won their eighth World Series title, local media are focusing on Shohei Ohtani rather than Freddie Freeman, the series MVP.

That's probably because Ohtani, who moved to the Dodgers for 10 years and $700 million last offseason, the largest in North American professional sports history, achieved a historic milestone in his first year. But Ohtani didn't do his part in this World Series at all. It was because he was on a downward cycle and suffered a left shoulder injury.

In five World Series games against the New York Yankees, Ohtani batted .105 (2 hits in 19 at-bats) and had no home runs and RBIs. He also stole 59 times in the regular season and did not make a single base. Rather, he personally ruined the series because he suffered a dislocation in his left shoulder while trying to steal.

However, Ohtani's 'Experience' cannot be limited to one World Series. This is because Ohtani is the main player who led the Dodgers, which had many twists and turns this season. Ohtani hit .310 (197 hits in 636 at-bats) in 159 games in the regular season, 54 homers, 130 RBIs, 134 runs, 59 steals, 0.390 on-base percentage, 0.646 slugging percentage, 1.036 OPS and 411 hits, making career highs in most offensive indicators.

Scoring and Ruta are the top in both leagues, and ranked first in home runs, RBIs, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, and OPS in the NL. The third MVP of his career has been virtually confirmed.

Above all, he hit a big milestone by achieving 50 home runs and 50 steals for the first time in Major League history.

Even in the postseason, which he took for the first time in his life, his contribution was not small. In Game 1 of the Division Series (DS) against the San Diego Padres, he hit a tiebreaking three-run homer in the bottom of the third inning, and took the lead in returning the series to 3-1 until Game 4 by hitting a wedge three-run home run and a preemptive solo home run in Game 3 and 4 of the NLCS against the New York Mets, respectively. In a total of 11 games between DS and NLCS, he hit a batting average of 0.286 with three home runs and 10 RBIs, helping him advance to the World Series.

MLB.com reported that the Dodgers won the World Series on the same day, saying, `Although they did not play much in the World Series, without Ohtani's contribution throughout this season, the Dodgers would not have been able to enjoy the present moment.'Juss suffered a string of key players throughout the season, but Ohtani continued to be productive at the forefront of the lineup. In the end, he made the most remarkable season in Major League history, effectively confirming his third career MVP next month.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said in an official interview after the game that `After coming to the U.S. and establishing himself as the best player for six years, he wanted to play in the championship game with all his energy for our team. "The fruit of his first season moving the team is truly tremendous, and what he brought to our team, our fans, not only the United States, but also to fans all over the world is beyond words."

According to MLB.com , Ohtani told President Andrew Friedman during a winning party at the clubhouse that he would like to participate in an annual champagne party for the remaining nine years of his contract."

In an official interview at Yankee Stadium Press Room, Ohtani said, `It's an honor to play baseball for the longest time this year, and I'm so happy to finally know this team. It's a huge honor to experience winning the World Series in the first season of the transfer, and success in the postseason is like we did our best in the regular season. We're a really strong team, and we're proud to be part of that team."
