One of the topics of the NBA last season was generational change.

Teams of superstars, including LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry, who put teams at the top of the 2010s, failed to use their strength in the regular league and playoffs.

On the other hand, the Boston Celtics, with a rookie super one-two punch called Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown, have become the strongest team by winning the most regular league and the final.

The tectonic fluctuations in the west were even more severe. The Minnesota Timberwolvesv with Anthony Edwards and the Oklahoma City Thunder with Shai Gilzer Alexander stood tall as the top western team, while the Dallas Mavericks with Luca Doncic also showed strong performance as they won the Western playoffs.

This phenomenon intensifies this season. In the east, the Philadelphia 76ers and the New York Knicks are aiming for the final championship with significant power reinforcement, while the Milwaukee Bucks and Denver Nuggets are aiming for the middle of the war.

CBS Sports, a U.S. sports media outlet, cited five key players who will have the biggest impact on the game this season.

Although they are not superstars, they are key players whose team performance can fluctuate depending on the player's performance.

First place is Carl Anthony Towns of the New York Knicks.

In the offseason, Minnesota and the New York Knicks made a big trade. New York sent Julius Randle and DiVinchenzo and signed Towns. With Jaylen Brunson, he has a strong one-two punch system.

New York, the best big market in the east, has not been able to cleanse its weak image. However, New York, which has steadily strengthened its power, has become one of the strongest teams in the East with the recruitment of Towns.

Second place is the Atlanta Hawks. Atlanta, which traded DeYonte Murray, has to make a choice between another rebuild and Win Now. Trae Young can be traded depending on his performance this season.

Third place is Paul George. There was a knee injury in a recent exhibition game. So far, no specific news of the injury has been made public.

However, if he is in normal condition, Philadelphia will emerge as a favorite in short breath. Joel Embiid is still pumping out MVP-grade force, and Tylee Maxi also made strong growth last season.

Fourth place is Damian Lillard of the Milwaukee Bucks. Although it has been aging recently, it could take over the league with the best one-two punch in the league with Yannis Antetokounmpo if it recovers its strong force during the Portland era. In fifth place, Jamal Murray won.
