Choi Kang-hee, Shandong Taishan coach, was suspended and fined for six games of the Asian Champions League Elite (ACLE) for insulting referees and disrespecting them.

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) announced disciplinary action against coach Choi for illegal acts during the ACLE League Stay match between Shandong and Vissel Kobe in the 2024-2025 season on the 2nd.

AFC was sent off using offensive and offensive gestures against the referee. However, he did not respect the referee's disciplinary decision and did not leave the stadium for about seven minutes. Choi was expelled by the referee, but later returned to the technical area and sat on the bench for about two minutes, declaring the violation.

Choi complained about the referee's decision in extra time in the second half when Shandong was being dragged 1-2. Shandong lost 1-2.

AFC announced that it would suspend four games in accordance with Article 47.2.9 of the Disciplinary and Ethics Regulations, two games in accordance with Article 63, a total of six games and a total fine of $13,000 (about 18 million won).

Choi took the helm of Shandong in May during last season and led the team to second place in the league and second place in the FA Cup, leading to a chaotic team atmosphere.

Tenjin Quanjian, Dalian Yifang, and Shanghai Shenhua are constantly being mentioned as one of the candidates for the next Chinese national soccer team because they are highly regarded for their ability to successfully lead Chinese clubs.
