The New York Mets brought the game to square one.

The Mets won the second game of the National League Championship Series (NLCS) at Dodger Stadium on the 15th (Korea time), effectively focusing on 10 hits, including Mark Vientos' grand slam.

The Mets, who suffered a 0-9 complete defeat in the first game the previous day, will be able to return to New York home after two away games with a 1-1 series record.

Game 3 between the two teams will be held at 9:08 a.m. on the 17th at Citi Field. Luis Severino for the Mets and Walker Buehler for the Dodgers will start.

In the second game, the Mets' pitching operation was outstanding.

Mets left-hander Sean Munaia gave up two hits and four walks in five innings, but allowed three runs (two earned runs) while striking out seven. Phil Maiton, Line Stanek and Eddywyn Diaz then kept the victory by tying the Dodgers' batters with three hits and no runs in the remaining four innings.

On the other hand, the Dodgers" `bulpenday' did not work as effectively as it did in Game 3 of the Division Series, which was like a cog.

The Mets pushed the Dodgers' mound from the start. In the top of the first inning, leadoff Francisco Lindor took the lead by tapping Dodgers opener Ryan Brazier with a superior solo home run. Lindor pulled an 89.7-mile body cutter for the eighth pitch in 2B2S and stuck it over the right fence to 395 feet of Mets bullpen distance. This home run broke the Dodgers' 33 consecutive scoreless innings, the most postseason tie.

In the top of the second inning, the Mets then scored five points by tying three hits and two walks against the Dodgers' second pitcher Landon Ngak, making a 6-0 run. After leading Starling Marte's left-handed hit and Jesse Winker's walk, Jose Iglesias stepped down with a fly ball and got one out and runners on first and second.

Tyrone Taylor, who took the batter's box, then hit a double that fell into the left-field line to add a point, and Lindor went to four pitches on purpose with two outs and runners on the second and third bases, creating a full base opportunity.

Vientos then hit a grand slam, widening the gap. Vientos rolled up Nac's 95.1-mile fastball in the middle of Nac's ninth pitch on a full count, slightly over the right-center fence.

The Dodgers started a mid-game chase. In the bottom of the fifth inning, Max Muncy hit a superior solo shot to make up for one point. He pulled the sinker outside of 90.6 miles of Munnaia, who was pitching scoreless, and easily crossed the right fence.

In the sixth inning, he added two runs after taking advantage of his control difficulties and his opponent's mistakes to get a full base chance. Following the walks of leaders Mookie Betts and Teoscar Hernandez, second baseman Iglesias missed Freddie Freeman's hit, creating a chance to load the bases with no outs.

Tommy Edman at bat after Will Smith was thrown out with an infield fly ball. He pulled a 73.7 mile curve that fell into the middle of the opponent's right-hander Maiton, brushed it by the first baseman and hit a single that flowed in front of right field, bringing home two runners. 3-6 by three points.

However, the follow-up attack was regrettable. Muncy walks and has a chance to score an additional point with one out and the bases loaded. However, Kiké Hernández hit a double play by the third baseman and poured cold water on the flow. It was an inning in which the match was virtually over.

The Dodgers had chances on the second and third bases with Edman's hit, Muncy's walk, and two runners' double steals in the bottom of the eighth inning, but Kike was out with a fly ball to right field. Kike stepped down as a bum in both decisive chances in the second half of the game and took great responsibility for the defeat.

The Mets sealed the game with Starling Marte's timely hit in the top of the ninth inning, and the Dodgers created another chance in the bottom of the ninth inning with a heavy hit by leader Andy Parz and a walk by Shohei Ohtani, but Betts, Teoscar and Freeman lost face by striking out consecutive swings and misses by Mets closer Diaz.

Ohtani went 0-for-3 with two walks and two strikeouts, failing to get a hit. In the postseason, there was a pattern of silence when there was no runner on the day. No hits in 19 at-bats. On the other hand, he is strong with six hits in eight at-bats when there are runners, especially four hits and five RBIs in five at-bats in scoring position. From the end of the season, he has 16 hits in 19 at-bats in the scoring position.
