Jung Sung-woo of Daegu Korea Gas Corporation drew attention with his remarks.
Jung Sung-woo played a leading role in winning a 97-64 away game against Anyang Jeonggwanjang in the '2024-2025 KCC Professional Basketball' held at Jeonggwanjang Arena in Anyang on the 30th.
Playing as a six-man, he helped his team win with 14 points and three assists along with two 3-pointers like Altoran. In line with Kang Hyuk's expectations of emphasizing defense, he took over offensive Kim Nak-hyun's baton and played a central role in defense.
At the press conference as a trainee, he also gave a smile with his outstanding remarks. Jung Sung-woo expressed his "satisfied" position on 'hard call', which is his top concern this season.
He said "Basketball is a sport where physical fighting is allowed. In the past, even though physical fights were allowed, I felt that the standards for physical fights were ambiguous." "I wish I could be tougher."Jung Sung-woo said "Even now, personally, 'This is not a foul, but why was it called a foul?"' I've had that thought before. In my criteria, I feel like I see it fairly and accurately regarding the current hard call. The point is that the players adapt to the rules."
Earlier, coach Kang Hyuk seemed to be humble about the victory, saying that the other team's shot was not included. In response, Jung Sung-woo lifted 'Banji' in a cute way.
He "I ran really hard today. I value opportunities the moment I play. I try not to lose out to the opponent I'm defending against"Not only me, but also the entire team played hard, and the result of playing hard came out like that. I think the players should be less humble for their hard work.
Then "The reason I can say this is because I usually communicate well with director Kang. The director usually asks us for opinions and listens a lot. "Some point out that I have a lot of time to own the ball, but it seems that the director is not satisfied with it yet. That doesn't mean you're trying to attract the ball. It's just slow to grasp compared to the coach who was so good when he was a player. So I told the director not to be too cozy, but the director said 'I got it'', and he trembled.
