'The dream match' has been achieved. LA Dodgers Shohei Ohtani and New York Yankees Aaron Judge, who have reserved regular season MVP in both leagues, will face off in the World Series.

The Dodgers won 10-5 in Game 6 of the National League Championship Series (NLCS) at Dodger Stadium on the 21st (Korea time) with a hard hit by Korean Tommy Edman and an effective bullpen day.

The Dodgers, who won the NL championship for the 26th time with 4 wins and 2 losses in the series, will play the long-awaited World Series against the American League (AL) champion Yankees from the 26th. The Dodgers have the advantage of having home hosting rights in Games 1, 2, 6, and 7. The Dodgers, who reached the World Series for the first time in four years since 2020, will challenge for the eighth time in their career, and the Yankees, who have reached the World Series for the first time in 15 years since 2009, will challenge for the 28th time in their career.

Tommy Edman, a Korean-American who played with the national flag in the WBC last year, played as the fourth batter and hit two hits and four RBIs, including a home run, and became the top contributor to the victory. Edman played in all six games in the NLCS and became a hero of the World Series, marking a batting average of 0.407 (11 hits in 27 at-bats), one home run, 11 RBIs, four runs and an OPS of 1.023.

The Dodgers activated seven bullpen pitchers, including Michael Kopech, who took the mound as an opener, Ben Casparius, Anthony Banda, Ryan Brazier, Evan Phillips, Daniel Hudson, and Blake Trinen, tying the Mets' lineup to 11 hits and five runs.

The first run was scored by the Mets. The Mets advanced to third base with Dodgers starter Michael Kopech's wild pitch and Brandon Nemo's groundout to second base after leading Francisco Lindor walked in the top of the first inning, and Pete Alonso's missed fly ball fell behind the pitcher and homered while second baseman Chris Taylor threw a pitch to first base.

However, the Dodgers succeeded in turning the tables immediately in the bottom of the first inning.Leader Ohtani opened the scoring by lightly hitting Mets left-hander Sean Munnaia's 5th pitch, 92.1 miles outside sinker, and hitting a single flowing toward center field.

Mookie Betts struck out swinging and Teoscar Hernandez, who entered the batter's box, hit a hit that hit the fence in the middle to connect the opportunity with one out and runners on first and third bases. Edman then pulled a 78.6-mile sweeper on the 6th pitch of the faraway, fell into the left outfield and hit a double that ran to the fence, calling in both players to turn the tide 2-1.

After overcoming the bases-loaded crisis in the top of the third inning, the Dodgers ran by five runs with two home runs in the bottom of the third inning.

Following leader Teoscar's right-handed hit, Edman fired a two-run shot in the left-center to widen the gap to 4-1. Edman pulled a high fastball in the middle of the far fifth 91.3 miles at 1B2S to draw an arch well over the left fence. It is Edman's first home run of the postseason with 31 degrees in firing angle, 104.1 miles in batting speed and 406 feet in distance.

The Dodgers continued to steal second base after Max Muncy walked on base, and Will Smith hit a two-run home run in the middle to widen the gap to 6-1. Smith hit a sinker in the middle of Phil Maiton's 89.1 mile to well over the center fence. Smith's second arch this fall.

However, the Mets' pursuit was also not easy. Mark Vientos' two-run shot in the top of the fourth followed 3-6. After the lead Francisco Alvarez hit a heavy hit, Vientos hit Brazier's second-low slider to lead to a home run in the middle.

The Mets also had a chance to chase in the top of the sixth inning, but failed to score an additional goal. Alvarez's left-handed hit and Vientos and Alonso drew back-to-back walks to create a full base opportunity. However, the inning ended as Jesse Winker hit a fly that missed left field. It can be said that the Dodgers took the lead in the sixth inning when Phillips blocked it without allowing a run.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, the Dodgers took a chance at the first and second bases with no outs with Smith's walk and Taylor's bunt fielder's choice. Ohtani then hit a 98.4-mile fastball from Line Stanek in the middle of the full count, hitting a heavy hit and bringing Smith home to widen the gap to 7-3.

The Mets narrowed the gap again to three runs in the top of the seventh inning with a sacrifice fly by Alvarez with one out and runners on the first and third bases, but the Dodgers sealed the game in the bottom of the eighth inning with Taylor's hit, Betts' left double on the first and second bases with Ohtani's walk, and Kike Hernandez's right-handed hit with two outs and runners on the first and second bases.

The Dodgers led the offense with the top lineup, with Ohtani scoring 2 hits, 1 RBI and 2 runs in 4 at-bats, Betts 1 hit and 1 RBI in 4 at-bats, Teoscar scoring 2 hits, 2 RBIs and 2 runs in 4 at-bats.

On the other hand, it became a difficult game for the Mets as starter Munaia collapsed with six hits, two walks and five runs in two innings.
