This is the aspiration of Park Jung-sam, chairman of Baeksong Holdings, who marks his third year of sponsorship of the KPGA (Korea Professional Golf Association) Tour.
Baeksong Holdings-Asiad CC Busan Open (total prize money of 1 billion won, winning prize money of 200 million won), which started under the name of 'Asiad Country Club Busan Masters'. The only competition held under the title of 'Busan' for both men and women is becoming a Boolean golf festival. In this competition, which has been held since the 10th, many galleries visit the stadium even on weekdays, realizing the enthusiasm of golf in Boolean-kyung.
Chairman Park said, `When I first received the offer to sponsor the title of the competition, I had a lot of worries. It is true that there was considerable opposition from those around him. "My heart was moved by the active proposal of Kim Do-young, CEO of Asiad CC. The sponsorship was decided in terms of 'If you're going to do this, let's have an iconic contest." "I feel rewarded by the way many galleries come to enjoy each competition."
In fact, men's golf popularity in Korea is lower than that of women. In response, Chairman Park said, `Our company is a developer that raises the value of real estate. We thought that men's golf would also increase its value through our sponsorship.
