Members of the club, including Pohang Steelers President Choi Jong-jin and head coach Park Tae-ha, visited the Pohang Steelworks on the 11th at the invitation of Pohang Steel Manager Cheon Si-yeol. The day's schedule started with 'Park1583(Park1538)' where you can see POSCO's history at a glance.
Pohang athletes and secretariat members had time to learn about POSCO's history and spirit, corporate culture, vision, iron production process, present and future, and so on at the History Museum and Public Relations Hall. He then moved inside the steel mill and saw the steel making site in person and felt the heat of the site. The team, which finished the tour with the 'iron energy', raised its morale by attending a dinner provided by Director Cheon, wishing for good luck in the remaining K League 1 games and the Korea Cup final.
Jeon Min-kwang, the main defender, said "It was my first visit to Pohang Steelworks, but I felt responsibility as a player wearing a uniform with POSCO engraved on it. It may seem difficult to say 'History', but the history of POSCO and Iron was easier to understand through the history museum and public relations center"I think it would be good for fans to visit before they come to watch the game," he said.
