Choi Dong-won Memorial Association (Chairman Cho Woo-hyun) said, `Kyoto International High School is the main character who produced a miracle that is even more than a miracle. Kyoto International High School decided that winning the Koshien was possible not only because of the full support and dedication of student players and leaders, but also ordinary students, faculty and staff, parents, Korean-Japanese communities, and local communities, and selected 'Kyoto International High School' as the winner, not 'Kyoto International High School Baseball Club'", he explained.

Thanks to this, the Japanese education community is developing into a school rich in international colors where students from various cultural backgrounds learn together" is being evaluated.

Kyoto International High School's baseball team is also a team where student players from various cultural backgrounds gather to faithfully carry out the school's basic policy of `Balance of Academic and Athletic' while respecting each other's individuality and abilities.

As much as winning the Koshien competition, I am confident that the award of the 'Inferior Hero' will be a great confidence and pride to school members and the community" expressed his feelings. He also said he was proud to have served as a bridge between Korea and Japan.
