Representative Jin Jong-oh (proportional representative) strongly criticized the controversy over the power abuse of Chairman A of the Taebaek Sports Association and the poor audit of the Gangwon Sports Association.
At a parliamentary audit of the National Assembly's Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee on the 22nd, lawmaker Jin called for a thorough investigation into the controversy over the chairman of the Taebaek Sports Committee, bullying, verbal abuse, and sexual harassment at work.
Lawmaker Jin said in the audit that `Although allegations of verbal abuse, abuse of power, and abuse of power surrounding the mobilization of employees by Taebaek City Sports Council were clear, Gangwon-do Sports Council maintained a close relationship with Chairman A, let alone a proper audit, raising doubts about the fairness of the investigation"I raised the question. Lawmaker Jin pointed out the seriousness of the chairman of the Taebaek Sports Council, raising suspicions of verbal abuse, abuse of power, and abuse of authority.
Representative Jin pointed out that the Gangwon-do Sports Council did not properly audit even after receiving instructions from the Korean Sports Council. "It is a clear dereliction of duty that the Gangwon-do Sports Council ignored the victims' statements and rather interfered with the audit by showing a close appearance to Chairman Ryu Chul-ho." Representative Jin said, `There is a strong suspicion that the reason for the lack of a proper audit is because of the collusion between Chairman Ryu Chul-ho and the Gangwon Provincial Sports Council", and demanded an immediate investigation and punishment of those responsible.
Rep. Jin pointed out the allegations of a poor audit by the Gangwon Provincial Sports Council and told Park Ji-young, the chairman of the Sports Ethics Center, on the investigation to be conducted on the 24th. "The Sports Ethics Center should fully reflect the testimony of the victims and reveal the truth through fair and thorough investigation."," he stressed. The perpetrators and victims are not being separated. The Sports Ethics Center urged us to conduct a thorough and strong investigation to prevent any more victims from occurring.
