Ryu Hyun-woo recorded a 20-under 264 total at the four-day tournament held at Mickey GC in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, from the 3rd to the 6th, and entered the extension with Takumi Kanaya. In the first extension at the 18th hole (par 5), Kanaya made a birdie, and Ryu Hyun-woo ended up with a par, so he had to be satisfied with the runner-up.
Ryu Hyun-woo, who joined the KPGA Tour in 2002, made his KPGA Tour debut in 2008. Since then, he has won four games between Korea and Japan. He won the Shinhan Donghae Open in 2009 and the GS Caltex Maekyung Open in 2013, and won the Coca-Cola Tokai Classic in 2012 and the Fuji Sankei Classic in 2017. He is ranked 30th in the prize money rankings of the Japanese tour this season.
Wang finished second in the Asian Tour Mercury Taiwan Masters at Taiwan GC in Taipei, Taiwan. With the 54-hole competition in the third round due to the typhoon, Wang Jung-hoon recorded 6-under 210, ranking second, two strokes behind J.B. Kruger (South Africa).
Wang Jeong-hoon is ninth in the Order of Merit category of the Asian Tour. Among domestic players, Kim Min-kyu is ranked the highest in seventh place.
