Sports tourism is a combination of sports events and tourism, and has become a global trend in recent years. Cities where large sporting events are held naturally attract many tourists and have a positive impact on the local economy. In particular, Seoul is attracting attention as a city with potential for sports tourism by hosting several international sports events.

Kang Tae-sun, chairman of the Seoul Sports Council, said, `This forum, which is expected to attract the attention and participation of many people, is expected to serve as an opportunity to further enrich Seoul's economy and culture through the convergence of sports and tourism. As we are working with the Seoul Metropolitan Government to host the 2036 Summer Olympics, we will come up with practical measures to help Seoul develop into a global sports tourism hub.'

Those who wish to participate in the forum will be able to pre-register their participation by contacting the Seoul Sports Council, and ID cards and small souvenirs will be given only to pre-registrants.
