Son Heung-min, who was injured again after the West Ham United match, failed to return to this game.
Tottenham will play Crystal Palace in the ninth round of the English Premier League (EPL) in the 2024-2025 season at Selhurst Park in London, England, at 10 p.m. on the 27th (Korea time). Tottenham, ranked eighth with 13 points, can move up to fifth if they win.
Coach Enze Postecoglou said Son Heung-min is not in good shape ahead of the match against AZ Alkmaar. He said he felt pain after Son Heung-min played an active role in the match against West Ham on the 19th. It is not yet known whether Son Heung-min's left hamstring, which he injured in September, became a problem again this time.

Originally, Postecoglou planned to give Son Heung-min, who had rested for about three weeks due to a hamstring injury, a midweek game break, but he inevitably had to give Son another break as he was sick. If it was a minor pain, Son Heung-min would have returned after resting only against Alkmaar, but the injury does not seem to be light.
"Son Heung-min is still not good," Postecoglou told a press conference before the match against Palace. It is not 100 per cent. Son Heung-min will not train until the weekend," he added. Son Heung-min did not recover until the end and was excluded from the list of games against Palace.

Tottenham, without Son Heung-min, chose Mikey Moore, a 17-year-old super prospect, next to Dominic Solanke and Brennan Johnson. Moore was born in 2007 as Tottenham's youngest ever participant. He entered the first team this season and has mainly received opportunities to play in cup competitions.
When Timo Werner, who originally played instead of Son Heung-min, showed a loss of confidence, Postecoglou boldly sent Moore out as a starter.
