The Seoul Olympic Memorial National Sports Promotion Foundation (Chairman Cho Hyun-jae) announced that it held the "2024 National Physical Fitness 100 National Physical Fitness King Contest" with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to commemorate the 62nd edition of the 'Sports Day (October 15th of every year'.

At the 'Physical Fitness King Contest' held at Olympic Park's Peace Plaza on the 13th, 75 people with outstanding physical strength from each region who passed the regional preliminaries (2,344) and the finals (1909) at 75 fitness certification centers nationwide competed fiercely for this year's physical strength king position.

In the competition, 24 male and female fitness kings (1st to 3rd place in each category) were selected in a total of four categories: youth, middle-aged, elderly, and elderly by measuring physical strength in six categories, including strength, heart lung endurance, and agility.

Among them, Kim Byung-yoon (65, Jeonju Physical Fitness Certification Center) and Moon Young-ran (65, Busan Nam-gu Physical Fitness Certification Center) were the top physicians in the overall high score. The two physical fitness kings were awarded 1 million won worth of injuries along with the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award, while the remaining 22 winners were awarded the Korea Sports Corporation Chairman's Award and 500,000 won worth of injuries (differential payments by ranking).

Chairman Cho Hyun-jae said, `I hope today's event will serve as an opportunity for more people to take care of their own physical strength and improve their health and happiness.' `We will continue to do our best to make Korea a healthy sports welfare society through the National Physical Fitness 100 Project," he said.
