Keisho Shirakawa (23), a right-hander who played in the KBO League this season, failed to enter the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). He failed to make the list of players selected by 12 teams in the rookie draft on the 24th. A total of 123 people, including 54 nurturing players, were called on that day. For Shirakawa, the KBO League was a kind of showcase to advance to Japanese professional baseball, which was not very helpful.
Four teammates from Shirakawa's Shikoku Island League Tokushima Indigo Sox will enter the professional league. Infielders Hibiki Kato (22) and right-hander Haruto Nakagomi (22) received third-round picks from the Yokohama BayStars and Rakuten Eagles side by side. In addition, right-hander Daisei (23) will go with the first nomination to foster the Hanshin Tigers, and right-hander Kawaguchi Toya (25) will go with the sixth nomination to foster the Softbank Hawks.
In 2019, just before graduating from high school, Shirakawa applied for a rookie draft but was not selected. The fast ball is powerful, but control became a problem. Shirakawa joined Tokushima, an independent league team, in December of that year and sought to advance to the professional league.
I had a new experience this season. SSG Landers called Sirakawa a temporary replacement for injured Roenis Elias. Before coming to Korea, he pitched 29 innings in six games. He had a 4-1 record with a 2.17 ERA.
I signed a six-week contract for 1.8 million yen. After pitching well in his debut game, he was jagged. On June 1, he won the first game against the Kiwoom Heroes with five scoreless innings. The second game, the away Lotte Giants game on June 7, did not pass the second inning. He allowed eight runs in one ⅓ and was replaced. In two games, he gave up seven walks in six ⅔ innings.
2-2-5.09 ERA in five games for SSG. Doosan Bears reached out after the expiration of their contract. Went as a temporary replacement for injured Brandon Waden. The salary has doubled. I signed it for 4 million yen.

On this day, Softbank selected a total of 19 players, including 13 players who fostered them. The Rakuten Eagles, on the other hand, have named a total of seven. Rakuten succeeded in recruiting Louis Muneyama, an infielder at Meiji University, which five teams pointed out as the top priority.
Keio University infielder Kiyohara Shogo (22), who drew attention, also did not receive the nomination. He tried to follow the path of his father Kazuhiro Kiyohara (57), who hit a career 525 home runs, but it was canceled for now. Kiyohara Kazuhiro received the top pick from six clubs 39 years ago in 1985. He joined the Seibu Lions through a lottery.
