Samsung Lions fire bowlers Kim Yoon-soo and LG Twins Austin met in Game 3 following the first and second playoff games. The result was the same this time. Kim Yun-soo won.
The top star among Samsung pitchers in this playoff is Kim Yoon-soo. Starting with a scene where Kim Tae-hoon was grabbed by the collar, he struck out Austin on three pitches to clearly inform Samsung fans as well as KBO League baseball fans of his name and face. And I've met Austin at every crisis and I've overcome all of them, becoming a real must-win group.
The first meeting was in the first round on the 13th.
The crisis with two outs and runners on first and second base in the top of the seventh inning when they were chased 7-4. Austin took the batter's box, but no one came out of the Samsung bullpen. The pitcher Park Jin-man picked was Kim Yoon-soo. After hearing Kim Yoon-soo from the coach on the mound at the door of the bullpen, Kim called him out, and the scene where he grabbed Kim by the collar and pulled him out of the door was aired. Kim Yun-soo also raised his hand to see if he was right and ran out to the mound.
A funny scene was born, but the game was huge. Kim Yoon-soo caught 2S with a curveball following a fastball and struck out swinging with a third-highest fastball.
In the second game, Kim Yun-soo came up when he was at-bat in Austin with two outs and a bases loaded with a 6-1 lead. The same ball combination as in the first round. Kim Yun-soo, who caught the strike with a 151km fastball at the first pitch, threw a curve ball on the second pitch, but this time it was a ball that fell out. He threw a fastball of 152km again on the third pitch, but Austin hit it and the result was a ground ball in front of the shortstop.
In Game 3, Kim Yun-soo and Austin met in the crisis. In the bottom of the fifth inning, trailing 0-1, Kim Yoon-soo came up to Austin's at-bat again with two outs and runners on the first and second bases. This time, Austin expected Kim Yoon-soo to throw a fastball at the first pitch, so he put his bat on the first pitch. As expected, a 154km fastball came into the high strike zone outside. Austin couldn't overcome Kim Yun-soo's speed. Out with a normal fly to right field.
Kim Yun-soo laughed at all of the three meetings between Kim and Austin.
If Game 4 is completed, will the two meet again. Who would laugh if they met. It's the best face-off of the series I'm curious about.
