The Jeonnam GT will be held at the Korea International Circuit in Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do from the 12th to the 13th. It is a competition that Jeollanam-do started in 2014 under the name of Jeonnam Motorsports Petty Income to develop motorsports and automobile complex culture, and a total of 150 cars will participate in various events.
Super 6000 of Super Race, which has been invited since 2018, will be held as the main event this year, and various classes of races such as Jeonnam Naegu, Sports Prototype, TC1600, and Sports Bike 400 will be held. In addition, gym cars will be held at the driving center and drone racing will be held at the permanent course.
The 7th round of the Super 6000 class is actually an important match to gauge the direction of this season's winning driver. Veteran Jang Hyun-jin (Seohan GP) is running first with 117 driver points, followed by Kim Joong-gun and Jeong Eui-cheol of the same team with 86 and 78 points, respectively. Hwang Jin-woo (Junpitched Racing) and Kim Dong-eun (One Racing) are also making their last sharp pitch in the top five. This is because the last match will be played in the final 8-9 rounds of the season, which will be held for 2nd to 3rd consecutive days in November if they win as many points as possible in this round.
Jeonnam Naegu is the longest durable race in Korea, and a total of four different classes (sports prototype, durability 300, durability 200, and durability 100) will be mixed. There are variables such as the changing road surface environment for 120 minutes, the state of the machine getting tired as it raps repeatedly, and the mandatory stop timing, so a fierce match is expected until the checker is received.
Jeonnam GT can watch the entire game for free. On the 12th, the Super 6000 Class and the preliminary round of Jeonnam Naegu will be held, and the final will be held on the 13th. On the 13th, a celebratory performance by popular hip-hop artist Gray is also scheduled.
