Ulsan-KBO Fall Leagu will be held against promising Korean baseball players from Japan, Mexico, China, and Cuba

The Ulsan-KBO Fall League, hosted by KBO and sponsored by Ulsan Metropolitan City and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will open on the 15th (Tue).

The Ulsan-KBO Fall League is part of the level-up project announced by KBO last year to strengthen the competitiveness of Korean baseball. Softbank's third-tier team from Japan's NPB, Mexican League Union Team (Team LMB), Jiangsu Hughes from China's CBA, and Cuba's national team (Team Cuba) will participate in the education league, which was previously held mainly by domestic teams.

Five teams, including LG, Goyang, NC, Lotte, and independent league All-Stars, will participate in the domestic team, and a total of nine teams will enter the two-week battle at Ulsan Munsu Stadium and Gijang KBO Baseball Center from the 15th to the 29th.

In addition to the games, the Ulsan-KBO Fall League has planned various events. On the 14th, the day before the opening, a welcome reception will be held at the Lotte Hotel in Ulsan with Ulsan Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom, KBO President Koo Hu-yeon, and participating team managers and representative players. In addition, domestic teams will hold youth clinics for the Ulsan Little Baseball Team, and overseas teams will have time to visit attractions and tourist attractions in Ulsan to experience Korean culture and food.

Ulsan-KBO Fall League will award 20 million won to the final winning team and 100-0-10,000 won to the runner-up team after going through 36 preliminary games and the final round, nine games per team.

The preliminary round will be held four games a day at two stadiums, and the first game of Ulsan Munsu Stadium will be broadcast on SPOTV and KBO YouTube, and the second game will be broadcast on KBO YouTube. The final round from the 28th will be broadcast on SPOTV and KBO YouTube.

Players who are registered in the KBO League and development players will be eligible for the game, and players who are expected to join the 2025 season, selected through the 2025 Rookie Draft held in September, will also be able to participate. In order to provide opportunities for various players to play, games during the educational league will be played without separate entry operations, and canceled games will not be reorganized.

KBO said "Based on the successful hosting of the 2024 Ulsan-KBO Fall League, we plan to expand the educational league so that more teams and prospects at home and abroad can participate in the future and develop it into a program that can improve players' skills and contribute to the local community."
