Veteran driver Hwang Jin-woo (Jun-Fitted Racing) won the top spot for the first time in more than three years, allowing him to aim for a last-minute reversal.

Hwang Jin-woo, despite ranking fifth in the preliminary round of the Super 6000 Class Final of the 7th round of the '2024 One Super Race Championship', held at Yeongam Korea International Circuit in Jeollanam-do on the 13th, has not allowed a single overtaking since he quickly regained the lead in a mixed race immediately after his departure and won the title for the first time in three years and five months since the 2021 opening game.

Hwang Jin-woo scored 27 driver points on the day, scoring a total of 101 points, ranking third in this category. Jang Hyun-jin (Seo Han GP), who leads the driver, took sixth place on the day and added nine points to score a total of 126 points, so the ranking can be changed depending on the results in the last eight to nine rounds. In addition, Jang Hyun-jin may be penalized depending on the results of the deliberation due to problems at the time of departure, so the gap may be further reduced.

Park Kyu-seung (Brand New Racing), who was third in the preliminary round, also jumped to second place immediately after the start and won the second checker after Hwang Jin-woo to achieve his third podium this season, while Kim Joong-gun (Seo Han GP), who finished 10th in the preliminary round, took the luck of the collision and departure of the previous players and secured the second place in driver points. As a result of the match, Jang Hyun-jin, Kim Joong-gun, Hwang Jin-woo, Jeong Eui-cheol (Seo Han GP), and Park Kyu-seung are expected to have a last-minute blood clot for the season champion in the final 8th to 9th rounds of the season at Everland Speedway in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, on November 2-3.
