The prestigious soccer team 'Maldiniga' has produced the third national team.

Daniel Maldini made his A-match debut following his grandfather Cesare Maldini and father Paolo Maldini. He stepped on the ground as a substitute in the 29th minute of the second half of the 2024-2025 UEFA Nations League A Group 4 match against Israel at Blue Eniser Stadium in Udine, Italy, on the 15th (Korea time).

This is the first time that three generations, from grandfather to grandson, have participated in the Italian A-match. Daniel contributed to Italy's 4-1 victory on the day. Italy had three wins and one draw, keeping the top spot in the group ahead of France (3-1).

Danielle, 23, is an attacking midfielder and has a different position from his grandfather and father, who used to be a defender. It's just that they've walked the whole way. He made his professional debut in AC Milan.

However, he didn't see the light of his father, who is AC Milan's one-club man. After spending the last two seasons on loan, he completely transferred to AC Monza in July.

Paolo is a legend that Italy is proud of. He played 126 A matches and served as captain of the Italian national team. Daniel is Paolo's second son. Paolo watched his son's A-match debut at the stadium.

Cesare, the first team, played 14 A matches. He was more colorful as a director. He led AC Milan and the Italian national team. Cesare died in 2016 at the age of 84.

Daniel said after the game: "It was a strong, positive feeling. I'm really happy that the game I participated in went well. I'm glad my parents came and watched the game. I'll go home and talk to you."

Daniel's brother Christian Maldini retired at the early age of 27 and is an agent. Italy took the lead in the 41st minute with Matero Lettegui's first penalty goal.

Giovanni Di Lorenzo turned the tide. He scored multiple goals in the 9th and 34th minutes of the second half. Italy's third goal was scored by David Pratesh in the 27th minute of the second half.

Mohamed Abu Fani scored a comeback goal in the 21st minute of the second half, but it was not enough to turn the game around.
