Bayern Munich legend Lothar Matheus pointed to goalkeeper Manuel Neuer as the main culprit of Munich's 'Kam Know Disaster'.

Mateus openly criticized the goalkeeper for his lackluster performance in the third round of the 2024-2025 European Champions League phase against Barcelona in Camp Nou, Spain, on the 24th (Korea time) in the German daily 『Built" saying, `I have no intention of attacking Neuer, but Neuer no longer supports the team like he did in the past.'

Neuer donated three goals in the first half and one goal in the second half, allowing a 1-4 defeat. The UEFA record did not make a single save. It means that Hafinha's three goals and Robert Lewandowski's one goal were helplessly allowed.

Matheus is "Noyer has changed. In the past, every situation was predicted. It had a 360-degree field of view. I launched an attack with a build-up pass. He stopped one or two of his three shots on goal, just like he did against Frankfurt"It doesn't give the defense a sense of stability right now. You can see just by looking at the Bundesliga's good defense rate of just over 40%.

"If it were Neuer in the past, he would have blocked one or two of Barcelona's four shots," Matheus said. "The second loss scene is a good example. Neuer hesitated and ran off the line. I couldn't do anything when the team lost a point."

The second loss was highlighted by Kim Min-jae's mistake. Kim Min-jae lost his balance to Barcelona midfielder Fermin López, who was behind him in an aerial ball competition, and failed to clear the header properly. Fermin, who received the ball flowing backward, floated the ball away from Neuer, and Lewandowski, who was next to him, kicked the ball into an empty goal.

Matheus believed that Fermin's actions toward Kim Min-jae could have prevented the loss if Neuer had made a quick judgment on the situation, regardless of whether it was a foul or not.

Neuer has only one save, allowing five goals in three UCL games this season. Munich, which has only one win, two losses and three points in three league-phase games and is 23rd out of 36 teams, may have to seriously consider replacing goalkeepers to rebound.
