The 4th Korea e-Sports Policy Forum will be held at BEXCO on the 15th



The 4th Korea e-Sports Policy Forum', which fiercely contemplates the current and future policies of Korean e-sports, will be held at BEXCO 2 Exhibition Hall in Busan, where the international game exhibition 'G-Star 2024' will be held on the 15th.

Hosted by the Korea Esports Industry Association, the forum is expected to be a practical place to come up with measures to respond to China's recent international standardization of esports and to present Korea's strategy for the IOC's Olympic esports games in Saudi Arabia.

Starting with a welcome speech by Seo Tae-gun, a game industry expert, led by Dankook University professor Kim Se-yoon, lawmaker Cho Seung-rae, lawmaker Kang Yoo-jung, president of the Korea Game Policy Association, Kim Young-man, president of the Korea e-Sports Association, and Kim Joong-heon, chairman of the Taekwondo Promotion Foundation, will give congratulatory remarks.




In his keynote speech, Kyungdong University Professor Song Seok-rok will explain future e-sports Korea through the international standardization of e-sports and discourse of Olympic e-sports games amid the rapidly changing international situation.

Kang Yoo-jung, an aide to Dokyung Lee of the National Assembly's Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee, will seek countermeasures against China's attempts to standardize by announcing 'e-sports international standardization and our strategy'. Yoon Kang-ro, a member of the IOC's Cultural and Olympic Heritage Committee, will then announce a plan for serious international e-sports diplomacy with the diplomatic strategy of Olympic e-sports.

Heo Geon-sik, an adjunct professor at Seoil University, will prepare a plan for the present of Paralympics such as barren land and the way e-sports will go under the theme of 「Fusion of Olympic Values and e-sports Values」, while Kim Sa-hoon, a professor at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, will analyze the point of contact between the IOC's value of the Olympic ideal and the value of e-sports under the theme of 「Fusion of Olympic Values」.




As debaters, Ban Hyung-gul, a representative lawyer at the law office, Cho Hyun-joo, a senior researcher at the Korea Sports Science Institute, Kim Jung-tae, a professor at Dongyang University, Lee Hyun-soo, a professor at Pusan National University, and Shin Won-sang, an international director of the Korea Sports Association for the Disabled, will attend, and Jeong Yeon-chul, a professor at Honam University, will be the chair.

Song Seok-rok, Chairman of the Korea e-Sports Industry Association, said "The Korea e-Sports Industry Association is establishing itself as a sound society that presents practical strategies and alternatives to the rapidly changing international situation. I will try to come up with practical e-sports policies and alternatives. We also desperately need active support from the Yoon Suk Yeol government and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for the heritage of the Republic of Korea and future generations.
