Dong-A Socio Group Delivered The Charity Classics Donations to the Korea Leukemia Children's Foundation

The KPGA (Korea Professional Golf) Tour The Charity Classics 2024 donation delivery ceremony was held.

Dong-A Socio Group donated part of the tournament's donation to the Korea Leukemia Children's Foundation at Jangsu Golf Resort in Jangsu-gun, Jeollabuk-do on the 30th. Players who participated in the competition delivered 100 million won, or 10% of the total prize money, and the host Dong-A Socio Group added 200 million won as a joint donation. A total of 300 million won in donations will be used to systematically support children with cancer so that they can receive treatment without financial difficulties and grow into healthy people.

An official from Dong-A Socio Group said, "The donation made by everyone who participated in the contest with the heart of sharing and consideration could be used for valuable work to save children's patients, making it a more meaningful event."We will do our best to ensure that the Charity Classic continues to be a sports event that spreads a good influence that our society can change healthier and brighter." he said.



Jo Woo-young, who participated in the delivery ceremony, said, `Thank you for giving me the opportunity to collect prize money with the athletes who participated in the competition and donate it for the pediatric patients, and I was happy to have a good performance in the first competition this year.''We will continue to participate with more interest in sharing hope and love not only for the pediatric patients but also for those in need around us.'

Meanwhile, Dong-A Socio Group donated 1 billion won, the same amount as the total prize money, through the Charity Classics 2024. Players also contributed 10% of the prize money to share. In addition, donations made voluntarily by participants and galleries in the Pro-Am competition and profits collected from the auction of player's cherished items have been added to raise a total of more than 1.2 billion won. The Dong-A Socio Group plans to gradually use the donations for pediatric patients such as childhood cancer such as leukemia, childhood heart disease, and rare and intractable diseases.
