Farewell with a painful franchise star. The Doosan Bears' choice was right-hander Kim Young-hyun (22).

Doosan recruited pitcher Kim Young-hyun as a compensation player who sent FA Huh Kyung-min to KT Wiz on the 16th.

Huh Kyung-min is a FAB grade and Doosan can receive 100% (600 million won) of annual salary or 200% (1.2 billion won) of annual salary this year from KT with one person excluding 25 protected players. Doosan's choice was a pitcher.

Kim Young-hyun, who joined KT Wiz in the second round of the rookie draft (45th overall) in 2021, first came to the first team in 2023 and appeared in 31 games, recording an ERA of 5.45 with one save and one hold. In that year, he also played one game in the Korean Series against the LG Twins and gained experience by throwing one inning.

Kim Young-hyun was finally accepted to the Sangmu Baseball Team in August and is scheduled to join the military in December.

Doosan has been agonizing over the pitcher since receiving the KT protected list. KT also had a lot of young pitchers tied up, so the decision was not easy. Meanwhile, KT signed a four-year contract with infielder Huh Kyung-min on the 8th for up to 4 billion won (1.6 billion won in down payment, 1.8 billion won in annual salary, and 600 million won in incentives).

Heo Kyung-min obtained his first FA qualification ahead of the 2021 season and signed a 4+3 year contract with Doosan for a total of 8.5 billion won.
