Hosted by the Lee Seung-yeop Baseball Scholarship Foundation and organized by the Lee Seung-yeop Baseball Scholarship Foundation, the Korea Baseball Softball Association, and the Korea Little Baseball Federation, the "2024 Lee Seung-yeop Invitational" competition will be held at Gangbyeon Student Baseball Stadium in Buk-gu, Daegu from November 22 to November 24.
As it is a game between two groups with different game management rules and official baseball products, a tournament organizing committee composed of representatives of the Lee Seung-yeop Baseball Scholarship Foundation, the Korea Baseball Softball Association, and the Korea Little Baseball Federation was formed to determine detailed rules and official supplies for the tournament.
The tournament, which will be held for the first time, was selected by four teams for each group, and the Korea Baseball Softball Association selected the Gyeonggi Hope Candle, Gwangju Soochang Elementary School, Gwangju Hwajeong Elementary School, and Daegu Bonri Elementary School, while the Korea Little Baseball Federation selected Namyangju City Little, Yongin Barun Little, Incheon Seo-gu Little, and Hwaseong City A Little.
The tournament will be held in the form of a quarter-final tournament, and the first round will be a showdown between the elite team and the Little team.
Various events such as home run distance race and base running will be held at the opening ceremony of the tournament, which will start at 10:30 p.m. on the 22nd to harmonize the participating players.
Meanwhile, Lee Seung-yeop, chairman of the Lee Seung-yeop Baseball Scholarship Foundation, the venue for this competition, said, `I hope that the first competition in Korea will be a place of harmony where participating youth teams can unite. I hope it will be a valuable opportunity to check each other's skills and improve further by complementing each other's shortcomings through sound competition"How do you feel about holding the first competition?"
The award of the competition is scheduled to win, runner-up, third and fourth place group awards and individual awards (director awards, best player awards), and the winning team will receive a trophy and baseball supplies worth 10 million won as injuries. The runner-up team will receive a trophy and baseball equipment worth 5 million won, the third-place team will receive a trophy and baseball equipment worth 3 million won, and the fourth-place team will receive baseball equipment worth 2 million won.
The 2024 Lee Seung-yeop Invitational will be sponsored by Yeongheung and Daegu Country Club, and Semyung Hospital, sports brand Brooks, and baseball product brand Gold Ball Park will participate as sponsors.
