China scored a comeback goal as soon as the start of the second half, creating an atmosphere of pursuit. Wei Xu Hao sharply stabbed the penetrating pass. With Lin Liangming facing the goalkeeper, he connected with a direct shot to open Japan's tightly closed goal.

China's hopes did not last long.

Japan widened the gap again six minutes later. Ogawa, the main character of the first goal, completed a multi-goal.
