Honored to win 10 sports facilities in 5 regions by holding an award ceremony for outstanding public sports facilities in 2024



The Seoul Olympic Memorial National Sports Promotion Foundation (Chairman Ha Hyung-joo) announced that it held an award ceremony by selecting 10 excellent public sports facilities in 2024 with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Since 2011, the Korea Sports Corporation has selected and awarded excellent sports facilities for public sports facilities built with the support of the National Sports Promotion Fund.

This year, 246 public sports facilities in five regions nationwide (metropolitan area, Chungcheong Jeju area, Jeolla area, Gangwon-do Gyeongbuk area, and Gyeongnam area) were applied and 10 places (five best awards and five excellence awards) were selected through screening.




At the awards ceremony held at the Seoul Olympic Parktel on the 21st, Chairman Ha Hyung-joo, Sports Promotion Director of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Pyo Kwang-jong and presenters attended to congratulate each other on their awards and promise to provide better services to the people as public facilities in the future.

The grand prize was awarded to Majang National Sports Center, Sejong Center for the Disabled, Yeosu Mangma National Sports Center, Nam-gu National Sports Center, and Geumjeong National Sports Center, and Ulju County National Sports Center, Gimhae Western Culture Center, Jeju Sports Center for the Disabled, Wolbae National Sports Center, and Seo-gu National Sports Center.

Chairman Ha Hyung-joo thanked the officials of the water facilities who have provided quality services to the people through excellent operation. More public sports facilities will be expanded so that all citizens can enjoy sports nearby," he said.




On the other hand, the selected excellent facilities will be provided with the opportunity to tour advanced sports facilities abroad along with the copper plate.
