"Time will come back in the end."

Hanwha Eagles' closing camp led by head coach Kim Kyung-moon. Most of the finishing camps involve low-year or backup players. Senior and main players are given a break as they have been busy for a season.

However, in Hanwha's closing camp, which ended on the 24th, captain Chae Eun-sung and other main players participated in the intense schedule of training on the 4th and resting on the 1st.

Coach Kim, who took the helm of Hanwha in June this year, offered to advance to the fifth round. He succeeded in chasing fifth place by one game, but ended the season in eighth place without overcoming the last crisis. Fall baseball is out for the sixth consecutive year. Director Kim said, `I'm sorry I couldn't keep my promise with the fans," he bowed his head.

The disappointment led to a perspiration. Manager Gam said "Baseball players may be comfortable at the time they need to prepare, but the time of the opening game comes back in the end. You have to play one season, but the results come out depending on how you prepared for the offseason. I think I've been training easily in the meantime. Young players should let their bodies remember," he stressed.

After the end of this season, Hanwha once again reinforced its power. He signed infielder Shim Woo-joon for a total of 5 billion won for four years, and signed a four-year contract with pitcher Um Sang-baek for a total of 7.8 billion won. It consistently gathered FA players, including Chae Eun-sung two years ago and An Chi-hong last year.

Coach Kim set up a competition stage for young players here. Outfielder Jang Jin-hyuk left as a reward player for Um Sang-baek, but a competitive structure of young outfielders such as Choi In-ho, Lee Jin-young and Lee Won-seok was formed. In the infield, rookie infielders such as Lee Do-yoon, Moon Hyun-bin, Hwang Young-mook, Bae Seung-soo, Lee Ji-sung, and Lee Seung-hyun sweated to get Kim's impression in the closing camp. Director Kim said "The team has a lot of competitors" smiled.

Coach Kim continued, `We don't know which player will enter next year's opening game. It can change. If you think you're working really hard, showing your attitude of practice and passion to get this position, you're going to push the player."

It's time for individual exercise. Kim emphasized his consciousness as a professional player. Director Kim said, `When you can't see each other, that's when it's war. I'm trying to make each position compete a lot. You shouldn't be complacent that this seat is mine. The team's performance should not deteriorate because one player is not good. We need to give a chance to a player who competes and strives" he said.

It wasn't just for the team that head coach Kim emphasized 'fierce' to the players. Coach Kim said, `There is a system called FA for young players now. When I become an FA, I want to get a lot of self-esteem. But I don't have to prepare hard and I want to get a lot of them I don't think this is right"An athlete should work hard in a place where they are not looking. If you see a player who is good at becoming a FA, you can become an FA by trying hard. You don't just play, eat, and rest to become an FA. He urged people to spend the winter busy.
