Inauguration Ceremony for Chairman Ha Hyung-joo of the Sports Promotion Foundation, 'We will upgrade the legacy of the Seoul Olympics'



The Seoul Olympic Memorial National Sports Promotion Foundation (hereinafter referred to as the Sports Foundation) held the inauguration ceremony of the 14th Chairman Ha Hyung-joo at the Seoul Olympic Parktel on the 20th.

More than 300 people attended the inauguration ceremony, including Jaeyup Kim (1988 Seoul Olympics judo gold), Han Myung-woo (1988 Seoul Olympics wrestling gold), Kim Jin-ho (1984 LA Olympics archery bronze, three gold medals at the 1986 Seoul Asian Games), Lim Chun-ae (1986 Seoul Asian Games track and field), former vice minister Park Jong-gil, and former Incheon Mayor Ahn Sang-soo and sports corporation executives and employees, to celebrate Ha's inauguration.

Chairman Ha said in his inaugural address that the Seoul Olympics was a monumental event that informed the world of the unity and passion of our people"It is the mission of the Sports Corporation to inherit these excellent legacies, develop them, and upgrade them to the next level."




To this end, Chairman Ha presented seven key tasks: ▶ A talent-centered organization that grows with ▶ members of an informed organization whose philosophy and values have been re-established ▶ upgrading the level of sports welfare through bold challenges and borderless innovation ▶ realizing policies to promote happy athletes and competitive elite sports ▶ establishing a living sports environment for anyone to enjoy ▶ A sports corporation responsible for the sports industry ▶ A better world for sports.

In addition, "We will create a better world through sports and lay the foundation for future generations to pass on and expand the legacy of the Seoul Olympics." I will enter the people with an open mind on the value of the Seoul Olympics."I vowed.

Chairman Ha is a graduate of Busan Sports High School and Dong-A University, and has been loved by the public since his athlete days as a gold medalist in judo (95kg) at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. In addition, it was selected as the "2024 Korean Sports Hero" this year, which marks the 40th anniversary of winning the gold medal.
