Kiwoom Heroes makes investments for the future of the team.
Kiwoom will hold a rookie camp in Kaohsiung, Taiwan for a total of 23 days from the 6th to the 28th.
While other teams are in the midst of closing camp, Kiwoom has only set up a list of young players in their first and second years. This means that it will provide an opportunity for the future of the team to grow intensively. So the name is Rookie Camp, not Finishing Camp.
Seol Jong-jin, head coach of the Futures team, will lead the training, not Hong Won-ki. In addition to 13 rookies in the 2025 season, a large number of second-year players, including Kim Gun-hee and Kim Yoon-ha, will also attend. It includes top designated players such as Kim Seo-joon and Yeom Seung-won, as well as Chung Hyun-woo, who was selected as the No. 1 overall rookie draft. There is also infielder Yang Hyeon-jong who is the same name as KIA Tigers 'Great Pitcher' Yang Hyeon-jong. He is from Daegu High School and was selected in the sixth round.
What stands out about this camp is that as young players, they not only strengthen their individual skills, but also train them to build their minds and learn the right routines. With an emphasis on basic training, they can take various programs such as morning walks, meditation, and yoga.
Meanwhile, Kiwoom provided basic knowledge and knowledge education for professional baseball players, including nutrition management and conditioning methods, strengthening team teamwork, and the importance of setting routines, for four days from the 1st.
