KIA Tigers rookie Kim Tae-hyung will join the Okinawa closing camp.

KIA has confirmed the list of participants in the closing camp to be held at Okinawa Gin Stadium in Japan from the 4th to the 28th. Kim Tae-hyung, who was selected in the first round of the 2025 KBO Rookie Draft, was listed on the camp participation list along with his classmates such as Park Jae-hyun, Park Heon, Na Yeon-woo, Yang Soo-ho, Choi Gun-hee, and Junhyun Im.

Kim Tae-hyung, a right-hander, played a great role as an ace in Deoksu High School. During his three years in high school, he pitched 115 ⅓ innings in 40 games with a 2.11 ERA, 42 walks-136 strikeouts, and a WHIP (on-base allowance per inning) of 0.93. As he is evaluated as a pitcher with excellent ball control, including a fastball of up to 150km or more, expectations for his debut next year are rising.

Kia has formed a team of 31 players, including Kim Tae-hyung and seven rookies.

Meanwhile, pitcher Kim Dae-yu Lee Joon-young, fielder Choi Hyung-woo, Kim Sun-bin, Seo Geon-chang, Lee Chang-jin, Park Chan-ho, Lee Woo-sung, and trainer coach Park Joon-seo will leave for Kagoshima, Japan from the 4th to the 8th.
