This winter is the season of trophy collection for KIA Tigers Kim Do-young, who had the best year. One idea is no exception.

Ilguhoe (Chairman Kim Kwang-soo), a Korean professional baseball OB group, held a selection committee for the winners of the "2024 Nutridi Day Ilgu Award". Following the Ilgu Grand Prize (President Heo Gu-yeon), the winners of nine categories were selected.

KIA Kim Do-young was selected as the best hitter award to the best player this year, and Samsung's Won Tae-in was honored with the best pitcher award.

Kim Do-young dominated this season with outstanding performances in all batting areas, achieving 30 (homerun)-30 (stealing) with the youngest and smallest game. He played in 141 games and posted a batting average of 0.347, 38 home runs, 109 RBIs, 143 points, and 40 steals. In particular, 143 points was the most in a single season. Thanks to his performance, KIA won the Korean Series after ranking first in the season. In addition, he recorded an on-base plus slugging percentage (OPS) of 1.503 including three home runs in the Premier 12, continuing his performance as a batter representing Korea in international competitions.

Won Tae-in appeared in 28 games and pitched 159.2 innings with a 15-6 record and 3.66 ERA. He was tied for the most wins with Kwak Bin of Doosan, and among domestic pitchers, he ranked first in WHIP (1.20), which shows an ERA and on-base allowance per inning. In addition, he pitched more than 150 innings for four consecutive years, clearly showing his appearance as an inning player.

The Rookie of the Year award went to Doosan's Kim Taek-yeon, and the Willing Effort Award went to Lotte's Son Ho-young. Kim Taek-yeon finished the team from her first year of debut and played in 65 games with 3 wins, 2 losses, 19 saves, and a 2.08 ERA with four holds. In particular, 19 saves were the most saves for high school graduates, surpassing the 16 saves recorded by Lotte's Na Seung-hyun in 2006.

Son Ho-young, who took the lead after being traded to Lotte earlier this season, played an active role in all infield positions. He played in 102 games with a batting average of 0.317, 18 homers, 78 RBIs, 70 points, and an OPS of 0.892. Unfortunately, he also hit in 30 consecutive games, although he fell short of the record for consecutive hits. Nevertheless, he failed to blossom his talent every year due to injuries, but his constant efforts paid off.

KIA's batting coach Hong Se-wan won the professional leader award and Dongdong Elementary School's coach Kim Sung-hoon won the Ama Leader Award. Coach Hong Se-wan took charge of batting this year, making KIA the best nuclear hitter in the league. KIA's batting average (0.301), on-base percentage (0.459), slugging percentage (0.369), and OPS (0.828) all ranked first, while home runs (163) ranked third after Samsung and NC.

Coach Kim Sung-hoon has been taking charge of the team since 2005 and has been striving to foster excellent players. In particular, he won three national championships last year and topped three competitions this year. In addition, he received the 'Kim Il-bae Leader Award' last year and was named the coach of the U-12 national team this year.

Hanwha's marketing team was selected as the front desk award. Hanwha ranked eighth in the team's performance, but sold out as many as 47 times in 71 home games. With that momentum, it also exceeded 800,000 spectators for the first time in the club's history. Regardless of the team's performance, it is no doubt the marketing team's usual efforts to lead the fans' passion to the ballpark. Judge Lee Ki-jung received the award. The referee has been a professional baseball referee since 2003 and played in OOO games. He is considered a passionate and active player in the field for making the right decision.
