Kwak Bin (Doosan Bears) recorded one hit, two strikeouts and no runs in two innings in a warm-up match against the Cuban national team at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on the 1st.
Kwak Bin went 15-9 with a 4.24 ERA in 30 games this season. With Won Tae-in (Samsung), he became the winning pitcher of the most games, showing that he is a leading KBO league pitcher.
He played consistently throughout the season, but he didn't finish well. In the first game of the wild card match against KT Wiz, he was shaken by allowing four runs in one inning, and was told that he was weak in big games.
However, the appearance of the international competition was good. Although he failed to play at the Hangzhou Asian Games last year due to gall symptoms, he showed his international competitiveness by pitching five innings of one run in the final against Japan at the Asian Professional Baseball Championship (ABPC) held after the end of the season.
The mound was taken on the day of the inspection. Kwak Bin mixed slider change-up curves evenly while recording a maximum speed of 150 kilometers. The total number of pitches is 16.

In the top of the second inning, a ball hit by the leadoff hitter came out, and then hit and was on the verge of first and second bases with no outs. However, he finished the inning with a fly ball and a double play against the follow-up hitter.
The title of 'first national team selection' will be a waste of pitching. After the game, Kwak Bin "First throw in almost a month. I was also curious about the sense of the real game. I liked the sensibility"I felt that Cuban hitters were aggressive. I think my pitching with confidence in my ball came out well."
Kwak Bin shook his head at the story of 'Ace'. Kwak Bin said "In fact, there is no such burden because (the late) Young-pyo is here. Youngpyo is a much better pitcher, so I think I have to endure the weight of ace"I laughed.
After APBC, he pitched well in consecutive international tournaments. Kwak Bin "That's when I felt like I had grown up. Pitchers can't always be good, but it was good that they did it. I thought I'd improved a lot."
