The Korea Handball Federation (KOHA) announced on the 11th that it recently signed an MOU with the Japanese Handball League (JHL) to exchange the Korea-Japan league.

The MOU event was attended by KOHA Vice President Park Hyun, Secretary-General Oh Ja-wang, Chairman JHL Nakamura, and Executive Director Ikanda. This MOU was conducted for the internationalization of the two organizations, the advancement of the league, and the development of handball between Korea and Japan, and the main contents of the MOU include league championship, interleague promotion, and exchanges between teams in the Korean and Japanese leagues. The two agencies have agreed to form a consultative body between the people in charge, and will discuss specific tasks and schedules through the consultative body.

Chairman JHL Nakamura "Japan reorganized the league under the name League H from September this year. It is expected that the Korea-Japan league will be able to develop mutually if it cooperates and runs the league. Today's MOU will be remembered as a historic day for the development of the two countries' leagues." KOHA Vice President Park Hyun launched the new H-League last year amid a slump in Korean handball. I hope that the league exchange between Korea and Japan, which is for the purpose of MOU, goes well and mutual win-win."

Chairman Nakamura watched the Shinhan SOL Pay 2024-2025 Handball H League game on the 10th and experienced Korea's handball league fever firsthand.
