According to French media 'RMC Sport' on the 22nd (Korea time), PSG is likely to extend its contract with Hakimi for three years. Hakimi and PSG's current contract period is until June 2026.
Hakimi, who has two goals and three assists in 13 games so far this season, was once embroiled in rumors of a return to Real Madrid.
However, the PSG club is said to have decided to extend the accompanying period in recognition of Hakimi's contributions so far in the process of deciding whether to extend the contract four years after joining the club.
Hakimi from Morocco, one of the world's top fullbacks, made his professional debut with Real Madrid in 2017. After that, he moved to PSG in 2021 through Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan and is playing as a central resource for PSG.
Since last summer, Kylian Mbappe's transfer to Real Madrid has led to predictions that Hakimi will follow suit. However, it is known that coach Luis Enrique has strong trust in Hakimi and decided to continue his company in line with the club's policy of pursuing stabilization of power rather than change.
