LPGA Toto Japan Classic to reduce 54 holes due to typhoon

The LPGA Tour's Toto Japan Classic (total prize money of $2 million) has been postponed in the aftermath of the typhoon.

The LPGA announced on the 2nd that `JLPGA (Japan Women's Professional Golf) and Theta Golf Course teams have decided to close their golf courses due to the typhoon's impact'' and"Toto Japan Classic will be reduced by 54 holes.'

The Toto Japan Classic opened on the 31st of last month at Theta Golf Course (par 72) in Shiga, Japan, and has finished the second round until the 1st. Wakimoto Hana (Japan) is leading the way with an interim total of 13-under 131. Ko Jin-young is tied for fifth place by four strokes.
