On the 20th, Busan Mayor Park Hyung-joon announced a vision for the complex development plan of the general stadium with the main point of 'Sajik new stadium opening in 2031'.
The new stadium will be rebuilt at the current Sajik Baseball Stadium. Starting with the design contest in 2025, the project will begin in earnest, and reconstruction work will take place from 2028 to 2030. It will then officially open in 2031.
The cost of rebuilding the open Sajik Baseball Stadium is more than 320 billion won, including land prices and construction costs. According to the last feasibility study report by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, which was prepared to provide state funding (30 billion won), it is about 270 billion won. According to the report, Lotte agreed to provide 81.7 billion won, a little more than 30% of the total project cost excluding land prices.
The number of seats in the new stadium is 21,000, the same as before. It is built as an open baseball stadium, not a dome stadium. The total area will grow from 36,406 square meters to 61,900 square meters.
The Busan Metropolitan Government explained that it is a decision based on the results of a comprehensive review of the accessibility, ease of use, and historicity of the stadium, and that the open type is better to vividly experience the passionate cheering culture.

'Lotte Giants' new home stadium location is the current Sajik Baseball Stadium location' It seems to have repeatedly confirmed that the 'open stadium instead of the expensive dome stadium' and 'the alternative stadium is Busan Asiad'. Earlier, the redevelopment of Gudeok Stadium was eliminated from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's urban regeneration innovation project in August, and traffic was unintentionally organized.
Mayor Park Hyung-joon of Busan emphasized, `We will make the Sajik Baseball Stadium a sports landmark in Busan and the Sports Complex a sports leisure space.'`We will make efforts to make Busan a sports paradise city that we want to live in even if we are born again.'
However, regarding whether it is a dome stadium or not, the dome stadium was also reviewed, but it is not reasonable, with construction costs reaching KRW 1 trillion. It was decided to build an open stadium. Lotte's opinion was the same," he said, drawing a clear line.

The Busan Metropolitan Government has repeatedly emphasized that the new baseball stadium will be built as a 'complex sports and cultural facility'. Seats such as family zones and kids zones will be placed inside and outside the baseball stadium, and various hands-on contents such as stadium tour programs will be developed. In addition, it plans to provide something to see and enjoy for citizens through startup studios, sports pubs, restaurants, and kids cafes, sports product pop-up stores, children's and youth sports complex experience spaces, and academies.
While Sajik Baseball Stadium is being rebuilt, the alternative stadium that Lotte Baseball Team will use is the current Busan Asiad Main Stadium. About 20 billion won is set for remodeling construction.
However, the situation at Sajik Baseball Stadium and the substitute stadium is a little different. If the construction cost increases from the current plan in the process of rebuilding the Sajik Baseball Stadium, Busan City and Lotte will jointly pay for it after consultation. However, the cost of remodeling the substitute stadium is currently paid 7 to 3, but the Busan Metropolitan Government will fully bear the additional cost in the future.

Gyms and swimming pools in Busan Sports Complex will be relocated, and grass picnics parks and leisure facilities will be added. Underground, parking lots that are currently far short will be secured. The auxiliary stadium will be decorated as an open space for citizens by introducing a circular bridge (ring bridge) exclusively for pedestrians and adding jogging and walking courses.
The Busan Metropolitan Government is grateful for Lotte's willingness to provide 30 percent of its business expenses. There has been no case of such support from a professional club (including the cost of remodeling an alternative stadium). It has eased the city's financial burden a lot." The Lotte team is also actively engaged in consultations with the Busan Metropolitan Government on the reconstruction of the new stadium," he replied.
