The future of Daegu FC is still unclear. Jeju United have confirmed that they will stay in the K League 1.

Daegu FC drew 2-2 against Jeju United at DGB Daegu Bank Park on the 3rd in the home game of 'Hana Bank K League 1 2024'. Daegu (40 points) failed to win three consecutive games. It remained in the 10th place. Jeju (48 points) had four undefeated matches. Regardless of the results of the remaining games, he has confirmed that he will stay in the K League 1 next season. The lowest rank in the K League 1 will be demoted to the K League 2 (second division) stage next season.

The game has begun. Jeju aimed for Daegu's goal with Gallego's shot in the 6th minute of the first half. Daegu simply got over the crisis with 'Manhattan Defense'. Daegu swallowed its regret in the 25th minute of the first half when Hwang Jae-won's shot bounced off the opponent's goal post. Two minutes later, Jeju countered with Gallego's counterattack.

Daegu launched a winning move at a relatively early time. I used a replacement card in the 31st minute of the first half. Edgar was put in place of Kim Young-joon. He actively utilized the tall lineup leading to Edgar in the front line, Basselus in the midfield and Cao in the last.

At the beginning of the second half, both teams took out replacement cards. Daegu added politicians instead of Park Se-jin. Jeju took out Seo Jin-soo of Han Jong-mu and put Lee Jeol-ro and Kim Joo-gong.

Jeju worked immediately after the replacement. Kim Joo-gong's equalizer came out in the 7th minute of the second half. It was a score made by tenacity. Yuri and Kim Joo-gong shot consecutively, but were blocked by Daegu's hand-to-hand defense. However, Kim Joo-gong scored an equalizer through another shot. The game was 1-1 and back to square one.

There was a fierce chase. The two teams did not spare their shots. For Daegu, there was also a dizzying scene. In the 26th minute of the second half, goalkeeper Choi Young-eun slipped during a goal kick. Jeju Yuri rushed to attack this. Daegu managed to prevent three defenders rushing in.
