Son Heung-min (Tottenham) is expected to return today after shaking off his injury.

Tottenham will face Aston Villa in the 10th round of the 2024-2025 Premier League at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England, at 11 p.m. on the 3rd (Korea time).

Aston Villa are fifth with five wins, three draws and one loss and 18 points. Tottenham ranks 10th with four wins, one draw, four losses and 13 points.

According to British media 'Express', Tottenham manager Enze Postecoglou hinted that Son Heung-min would come out.

Postecoglou said, `Son Heung-min completed training today (16th). If I can finish training tomorrow, it will be fine. At the moment, there is a possibility that he will play at the weekend."

Son was injured at home against Karabakh FK in the first round of the Europa League on September 27. In the 26th minute of the second half, when he complained of thigh pain, he collapsed.

Since then, he has been excluded from the away match at Manchester United in the sixth round of the Premier League, the away match at Ferencvaros in the second round of the Europa League, and the away match at Brighton in the seventh round of the Premier League. He was not also called up for the third Asian qualifying team for the 2026 North Korea-China World Cup.

Son Heung-min returned to the match against West Ham in the eighth round of the Premier League on the 19th. Son Heung-min was involved in three goals and led the way to a 4-1 victory, but was replaced in 70 minutes. After the game, I felt pain again and did not participate in training.

Since then, he has missed the Europa League AZ Alkmaar and the Premier League's ninth round against Crystal Palace. He seemed likely to return to the match against Manchester City in the round of 16 of the Carabao Cup, but he did not come out again.

If Son Heung-min plays in the match against Aston Villa, he will return in about two weeks.

Coach Postecoglou said before the match against Manchester City that Son Heung-min could play against Aston Villa at the latest.

Postecoglou is not strictly a hamstring injury, he said. However, we are managing him conservatively because he hasn't played recently and he hasn't been in good shape since the last game. If everything goes well, next week it will be fine.'

On the 2nd, Tottenham released images of players participating in morning training in preparation for the match against Aston Villa at Enfield Training Center in London, England, along with the words 'Good Morning'.

The first player to head the 31-second short video was Son Heung-min with a 'nice face'. Son Heung-min, who just returned from a thigh injury, smiled at the camera and entered the training field.

The British media Evening Standard included Son Heung-min in the expected best 11 against Aston Villa. The Evening Standard expected a three-top with Dominic Solanke and Brennan Johnson, even though he was not sure about Son Heung-min's physical condition.

Tottenham put Timo Werner and 17-year-old prospect Mikey Moore in the position while Son Heung-min was out. Werner left a regret by exposing his goal-determining limitations. Moore made a clear impression through his strong performance against AZ Alkmaar in Europa League, but he has yet to show consistent skills. As he exposed his ups and downs, only Son Heung-min's vacancy felt bigger.

The Athletic gave Moore a cold shoulder.

The Athletic said 'Moore faced reality. There has been a huge amount of hype due to his incredible form at Tottenham Youth last season and his interesting cameo-like performance in the pre-season. He is only 17 years old. It is diagnosed that it will take time to realize its potential.

The Athletic said 'Moore will face a completely different physical challenge than previously faced in the Premier League. He predicted that he would need patience while adapting.
