The Seoul Olympic Memorial National Sports Promotion Foundation (Chairman Ha Hyung-joo) announced that its representative character 'Baekho-dol' won the grand prize at the '2024 Korea Local Government/Public Character Festival Awards'.

The '2024 Korea Local Government/Public Character Festival Grand Prize' was promoted by the Korea Cultural Content Licensing Association and the Daejeon Tourism Organization as part of a local and public character activation support project to encourage the active use of characters in public relations such as policies and festivals by the government, local governments, and public institutions.

At the awards ceremony held at the second exhibition hall of the Daejeon Convention Center (DCC) on the 23rd, 'Baekho-doli' won the grand prize, ranking second among 12 institutional characters that entered the finals of public institutions.

In addition, from the 22nd to the 23rd, we participated in the 'Daejeon Content Fair' with the characters of each organization that won the award to commemorate and promote the award.

Park Byung-hak, head of the public relations team at the Korea Sports Corporation, said, `Baekho-dol, who likes sports and people, has worked hard to convey a positive message of passion and courage as the representative character of the Korea Sports Corporation" and "We will continue to grow into a character loved by the people by providing new experiences and fun through various challenges in the future.""

Meanwhile, the Sports Corporation is working to improve the institutional image through various attempts to commercialize characters, such as producing various 'Baekho-doli' goods through collaboration with social economy companies and expanding new sales networks (three locations) in Olympic Park.
