Sports Promotion Corporation has completed the 2024 VR Olympics Super League successfully, winning the final round of 11 teams, and winning three titles in Jeonbuk Iribaekjecho



The Seoul Olympic Memorial National Sports Promotion Foundation (Chairman Cho Hyun-jae) announced that it successfully held the final round of the '2024 VR Olympics Super League', a virtual reality sports network competition for elementary schools nationwide, with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Since September, 52 teams from 32 elementary schools nationwide have participated in the final competition held at the Olympic Hall's special stadium, and the final 11 teams selected through fierce gates have competed for the throne of the VR Olympics for about two months.

According to the grade, the final round of events (1st and 2nd graders/boom boom baseball, 3rd and 4th graders/ultimate running, 5th and 6th graders/basketball parties) was conducted, and Jeonbuk Iribaekje Elementary School won all three events, ranking as the strongest in the VR Olympics. The Excellence Awards in each category were awarded to Seokmun Elementary School in Chungnam, Gayang Elementary School in Seoul, and Munhak Elementary School in Jeonju, Cheonan Oseong Elementary School in Chungnam, Kumho Elementary School in Gwangju, Suseong Elementary School in Busan, Wolang Elementary School in Chungnam, and Lee Mun Elementary School in Seoul.



In addition, students who participated in the final competition stayed at the Seoul Olympic Parktel after the competition, felt the 88 Seoul Olympic Heritage through the Seoul Olympic Legacy Tour and experienced products and services using state-of-the-art ICT technology at the Sports360 Play Exhibition Hall.

An official from the Korea Sports Corporation said, `I was surprised by the enthusiasm of my friends who participated in this competition to match the slogan of 'Big Challenge of Small Heroes.' We will make efforts to create an environment where more people can enjoy sports using high-tech technologies regardless of time and place in the future."



Meanwhile, the Sports Corporation plans to continue hosting the VR Olympic Super League to expand sports experience opportunities using cutting-edge technology.
