Sports Promotion Corporation-Ministry of Culture, Sports and Industry '2024 Export Consultation Meeting for Sports Industry' Invited 64 companies from 15 countries abroad on three occasions and consulted with 164 companies in Korea

The Seoul Olympic Memorial National Sports Promotion Foundation (Chairman Cho Hyun-jae) announced on the 5th that it has successfully completed the '2024 Sports Industry Export Consultation Meeting' after the 3rd Export Consultation Meeting held at the Olympic Hall.

The Sports Industry Export Consultation Conference, hosted by the Sports Corporation and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, is held every year to support Korean sports companies with excellent technology and products to develop overseas markets.

This year, it was evaluated as more effective than previous years, reflecting the opinions of participating companies who want face-to-face consultations beyond online non-face-to-face export consultations.

During a total of three sessions, 64 companies from 15 countries were invited to hold 1:1 export consultations with 164 domestic companies.

In addition, it was evaluated as a very effective attempt to introduce new content to expand exports of domestic companies, such as entering the global online market, providing trade and customs consulting, and displaying products.

After the export consultation meeting, a total of 28 export contracts and agreements worth about 15 billion won were signed this year, making efforts to follow-up management such as periodic online meetings and export contract consulting.

Park Myung-sik, CEO of Idea Dotcom (development of water sports bottles with water purification functions) who has been actively discussing export contracts with overseas companies by signing an MOU worth 1.2 million dollars with a British company through this year's export consultation meeting, said "I was able to participate in all three consultations this year to get a good opportunity for overseas expansion" and "I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Sports Corporation and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for opening the door to overseas expansion which had been at a loss.""

Meanwhile, the Sports Corporation will continue to provide effective support to expand overseas expansion of domestic sports companies next year. As this year, the sports industry export consultation meeting will be held three times, and the Seoul International Sports and Leisure Industry Exhibition (SPOEX), which will be held at COEX in Seoul for four days from March 27, will also be held.
