First, the two players visited the pediatric ward located on the eighth floor of the hospital and spent a meaningful time giving warm words of consolation to the children along with a small gift.
Then, in the lobby on the first floor of the hospital, there was a venue for self-photos with the players through the 'Special Photo Day' event. Participants in the event, including patients, fans, and officials, created special memories by taking self-photographs with the players.
Park Jong-hoon, who participated in the event, said "As a baseball player, I am happy to continue meaningful activities with Inha University Hospital for a long time. Whenever I come to the consolation, I feel like I am getting more strength thanks to the bright expressions of the children. In the future, I will continue to think and practice what I can do so that children's laughter can continue."
Lee Ji-young said "I'm happy to join you today at the suggestion of Jong-hoon, and thanks to you, I'm happy to join the event with a good intent. It was a short time, but I hope it will be a pleasant memory for the children, and I hope that the children will recover their health and meet again at the ballpark later," he said.
Meanwhile, for six years, Park Jong-hoon has been conducting the 'Happy Dream Campaign' to support treatment costs for low-income children in Inha University Hospital and Incheon.
