Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) midfielder Lee Kang-in played as a substitute for two consecutive games and lacked time to play.

PSG lost 1-2 to Atletico Madrid in the fourth round of the 2024-2025 European Champions League (UCL) League phase at Parc des Princes in Paris, France on the 7th (Korea time).

The home team PSG came out in a 4-3-3 formation. Bradley Barcola, Marco Asensio and Usman Dembele are located on the three-top, and the midfield was built by Vitinya, João Neves and Warren Zairemeri. Four backs featured Nuno Mendes, Willian Pacho, Marquignos and Ashraf Hakimi. The goalkeeper's gloves were worn by Gianluigi Donnarumma. Lee Kang-in was on the replacement list for the second consecutive game following the previous match against Lance.

The away side Atletico faced off in a 4-4-2 formation. PSG took the lead by scoring the first goal. In the 14th minute of the first half, Dembele created a chance by stealing the ball through pressure in the box, and Zaire Emery, who received the pass, calmly finished with a shot and shook the Atletico net.

ATMs also hit back at an early date. In the 18th minute of the first half, Molina intensively caught a cross that bounced off Mendes and pushed it into the corner of the box, stabbing the corner of the PSG goal. The two teams exchanged one goal each to finish the first half 1-1.

In the second half, PSG led the mood first. Hakimi's shot, which received Dembele's pass in the 9th minute of the second half, and Dembele's shot, which finished the ball that bounced again, were both off the goal. After Barcola's shot was blocked by Oblak in the 13th minute of the second half, the ball rose high even when Hakimi finished with a mid-range shot again.

Lee Kang-in stepped on the ground in the 22nd minute of the second half as a substitute. After Lee Kang-in was introduced, PSG continued to aim for attacks. Hakimi's shot was blocked by Oblak once again in the 32nd minute of the second half. Lee Kang-in also aimed for an attack opportunity. In the 45th minute of the second half, Lee Kang-in's powerful mid-range shot was blocked by Oblak.

The game was decided just before the end. Just before the end of the second half, Angel Correa's shot shook the PSG net as it was, and the game ended with a 2-1 victory for Atletico.
