The Asian stage was different.

Ulsan HD, which confirmed its K-League 13 consecutive years early, is on the verge of being eliminated from the Asian Champions League Elite (ACLE). Ulsan was completely defeated 0-3 in the fourth round of the ACLE League Stage in the 2024-2025 season against Johor FC at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium in Johor, Malaysia on the 5th.

The ACL was reorganized into ACLE and ACL2 this season. ACLE has been changed to a way in which the top 24 teams in Asia (East Asia 12 and West Asia 12) participate. Each team will play four home and away games, a total of eight games. Four of the 12 East Asian teams will be eliminated and eight will advance to the round of 16.

Ulsan met Kawasaki Frontale (0-1 loss), Yokohama Marinos (0-4 loss), and Vissel Kobe (0-2 loss) of the Japanese J-League in the first and third games and lost all of them. He also failed to find a way out of the away game against Jo Horu.

Ulsan, ranked 12th in the ACLE East Asian region, has zero points as well as zero points. Director Kim said, `I think it's too bad. He has not won a point and is in a scoreless situation. Therefore, I feel sorry for Ulsan fans. It must have been a very difficult journey for the players. It was hard to come this far"It was disheartening.

Ulsan won 2-1 in the third round of the 'Hana One Q K League 1 2024' final against Gangwon FC at Ulsan Stadium on the 1st. Ulsan, which scored 68 points, widened the gap with second-place Gangwon (61 points) to seven points, and confirmed its victory for the third consecutive year regardless of the results of the remaining two games. He opened the door to the dynasty in name and reality.

He became the third club to win three consecutive K-League titles in 1983. Seongnam FC lifted the championship trophy for three consecutive years from 1993 to 1995, 2001 to 2003, when Seongnam FC was a corporate team. Jeonbuk won the K League 1 for five consecutive years from 2017 to 2021.

Ulsan went on an away trip to Malaysia after the match against Gangwon. Coach Kim said, `I think there was a little influence on the physical part. Five days after the match against Gangwon, they played Johor. The flight time was 6 hours, and I got on the bus for an hour and a half. But I think everyone is in the same condition. Unfortunately, his performance didn't come out."

He continued "We lost today's game. We have nothing to excuse" "I honestly feel sorry for the scoreless part. It's not that the opportunity didn't come out at all. But I think we need to create a more clear opportunity to get out of the scoreless game," he stressed.

As for ACLE's particularly bad results, "I need to study more. As the ACLE and the league were played together, some of the schedules were tight and there was also a variable called the occurrence of injuries. I think ACLE overcomes these variables"I'll focus more on the next game than on disappointment. Now, we can focus on the next game of ACLE. I will try my best to get points and points again in the rest of the game and make it to the tournament without giving up until the end."

Kim took the helm of Ulsan on July 28 after leading the Malaysian national team. I visited Malaysia for the first time in 100 days as an enemy commander. When asked about Johor's evaluation "I don't want to talk about the other team. Please understand."

The ACLE League phase turned the halfway point. Ulsan aims to turn the tables again in Game 5 against Shanghai Sanggang (China) at its home turf on the 26th.
