The fan Festa is an event organized at the city level, centered on Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-joon, to congratulate Suwon FC Women, led by head coach Park Gil-young, on their second WK League victory in 14 years since 2010, and to thank citizens and fans for supporting the team.
The fan festa event began with the Suwon FC Women's Team's Hwaseong Fishing Car Parade. Led by Suwon FC supporters (Real Crew), the parade around the course from Janganmun to Haenggung Square was filled with enthusiastic cheers from Suwon citizens. Following a celebratory performance by the city choir and cheerleading team at Haenggung Square, there was also a time to communicate directly with fans, including fan signings and photo time.
This season, the Suwon FC squad had its best season ever, with the women's team winning after the men's team led by head coach Kim Eun-joong advanced to the top split.
Choi Soon-ho, head of Suwon FC, said, `This event was held on the same day as a home game for the men's team, and it was arranged as a venue to soothe the fans' regret for not being able to share the moment of victory with them by confirming the victory in Hwacheon away game.'"We would like to share the joy of winning with the fans through this fan Festa. Through this victory, Suwon FC Women will grow into a team loved by Suwon citizens and a team that leads Korean women's soccer."
