KIA Tigers CEO Choi Joon-young was promoted from vice president to president on the 15th.

Choi, who joined Kia through Seongdong High School in Seoul and Korea University, has served as vice president of Kia's CEO since 2018 after serving as the head of the Gwangju support office, the head of the Gwangju General Affairs and Security Office, and the head of the Labor Support Division. Immediately after taking office as KIA CEO on November 1, 2021, Choi started to improve Hampyeong Challengers Field, a Futures (second division) stadium, and prepared a mid- to long-term plan to leap and foster a strong team. Ahead of this season, a seminar on the integrated strategy of the first team and Futures was held to lay the foundation for the V12 of the Pennant Race and the Korean Series.

Kia has had its best year not only in terms of performance but also in terms of marketing this season.

KIA, which attracted 717,025 spectators in 73 pennant races last year, attracted 1,259,249 home spectators this season, achieving the highest crowd growth (76%) among the 10 clubs, contributing to the KBO League's reach of the 10 million spectators era. Admission revenue, which was 10.2 billion won last year, also increased to more than 15.3 billion won, ranking first (49%) in 10 clubs. In addition, various marketing activities have improved performance.
