Mudryk has not played since the Europa Conference League on the 29th of last month. Initially, it was reported that he could not appear on the pitch due to injury. However, it was found that prohibited drug ingredients were detected in urine samples submitted at the time of doping tests conducted in October.
The Daily Mail said 'According to the FA regulations, athletes who are notified of positive doping test results may be temporarily suspended and will be given a chance to explain themselves before disposition'
In a statement, Chelsea said it had been informed of Mudryk's recent positive doping test, adding that both Mudryk himself and the club fully support the FA's investigation. 'Mudryk has firmly confirmed that he has not intentionally taken any drugs, and the club will faithfully engage in the FA investigation,' the statement said.
In his SNS account, Mudryk wrote 'I didn't intentionally use the banned drug, nor did I attempt to break the rules' It's a shocking result. We will faithfully investigate how this happened.'

Mudryk played in 15 games in the 2022-2023 season, and scored seven goals and two assists in the 2023-2024 season. This season, when Enzo Maresca started under coach Enzo Maresca, he has been struggling to compete for the starting lineup, behind Joao Felix and Jadon Sancho.
The Daily Mail explained 'Chelsea is likely to conduct an investigation around the supplements taken by Mudryk' as the supplement ingredients taken by Mudryk are not available in the UK'.
The Mudryk doping scandal is similar to Paul Pogba's doping case, which caused a stir last year.
Pogba tested positive for doping due to excessive testosterone detection in the doping test. He was later suspended temporarily by the Italian Anti-Doping Court. Eventually, on February 29, about six months after being caught, he was suspended for four years on doping charges.
At the time, Pogba appealed to the CAS (Sport Arbitration Court), claiming that there was no intention, and the disciplinary action was eventually reduced from four years to a year and a half in October. As a result, participation in training will be possible from January next year, and the way to participate will be opened from March. Pogba is looking for a new team after mutually terminating his contract with Juventus last month.
